Brad has more than 25 years of professional experience in advising clients of various sizes and industries from start-ups to Fortune 1000. Clients seek his expertise in all phases of business tax planning from entity selection and capital formation to business combinations, reorganizations, and exit strategies. Brad also works with businesses and individuals in all aspects of the international tax environment including import-export, U.S. multinationals, foreign investment in the U.S., cross-border transactions, and investors and executives on overseas assignments.
Brad was recently appointed by Lt. Governor Casey Cagle to serve on the Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians to study and recommend reform to Georgia’s tax Code. He has successfully initiated and authored Georgia legislation affecting the taxation of the multi-state S corporations, LLCs, and on standards for tax return preparers. Brad represents CPAs throughout the state as an at-large member of the Georgia Society of CPAs’ Leadership Council and as the recent past chair of the Taxation Section.
Prior to joining the firm, Brad was a shareholder at Tarpley & Underwood, an accounting firm that merged with Windham Brannon in early 2011. Brad was also employed for a combined ten years with KPMG LLP and Andersen LLP before joining Tarpley & Underwood.
