The House and Senate agreed to extend the Paycheck Protection Program by five weeks, until August 8. President Trump signed the new law on Saturday, July 4.

The Small Business Administration reopened the application process as of Monday morning, according to their website.

The application window to apply for a PPP loan was scheduled to close Tuesday, June 30, but $129 billion is still available to help small businesses cover payroll costs, applicable overhead, utilities, rent, mortgages, as well as hire back employees who may have been laid off during the pandemic.
