Carlye is a Tax Principal at Windham Brannon, where she leads the Not-for-Profit Tax Practice. She specializes in planning and tax return preparation for large not-for-profit organizations. She also conducts extensive research and advises clients on various topics that require the interpretation of tax law.
Prior to joining Windham Brannon in 2002, Carlye worked for an Atlanta boutique firm, Stephen Berman & Associates, where she fueled her interest in not-for-profit. She also gained valuable experience at Arthur Andersen, LLP, where she worked with expatriates and international tax.
Carlye is an active member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and attends the organization’s annual Not-For-Profit Industry Conference. She is a frequent contributor of articles and blogs on topics regarding not-for-profits, such as why boards benefit from having CPA members, board governance, and charitable gift planning. Carlye is on the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (GSCPA) state and federal task force, which serves as a communication bridge between the IRS/GA Department of Revenue and GSCPA community. Carlye was also appointed as the Treasurer for The Study Hall, a not-for-profit after-school care organization for low-income families located south of Turner Field. She is also a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP).
Carlye is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, and she earned her Master’s in taxation from Georgia State University.
