Experience

Donna has been with Windham Brannon since December 2005 working in the assurance practice area, managing all aspects of audits and reviews in diverse industries, such as construction, real estate, telecom, manufacturing and distribution, restaurants, franchisors, investment management, and professional services firms. Donna has expertise in various types of benefit plan audits including 401(k)s and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) and is in charge of our ESOP practice.

A graduate of Samford University and the University of Alabama, where she obtained her MBA, Donna began her career as a staff accountant with National Service Industries, Inc. here in Atlanta. She moved to public accounting in 1987, first with Grant Thornton licensee, H.L. Raburn & Company in Birmingham then with Smith & Radigan in Atlanta, and most recently, with Christian & Denaburg, P.C. in Birmingham. At Christian & Denaburg, she managed all aspects of audits, reviews, and compilations for clients representing a wide range of industries, including construction, hotels, real estate, not-for-profit, mining, and mortgage banking. In addition, she prepared and reviewed various tax returns with those engagements.

Donna is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Construction Financial Management Association, The ESOP Association, and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).
